My best Christmas ever!

It was Christmas. I was 7 years old. After the 5 a´clock church mess and breakfast at seven thirty, we, my elder sister and three elder brothers, waited for the ringing of the bell to enter the living room, where the Christmas tree and the Christmas gifts were waiting for us. When I heard the bell ringing I ran into the living room, discovered imidiately a piano next the window. I was overhelmed and cried out loud: a piano, a piano! My mother called me back, that is not for you, it is for Anneliese. Well my sister was nearly fourteen. I hadn´t expected that the piano was just for me, but a piano in the house, that was the best I could think of! I knew that the piano was a used one from relations, but still a piano.There were piano sheet music as well and I studied the titles. There was one with children songs. I thought that is not difficult and begged my sister to show me the keys. At some pages I marked the keys. (My sister went after school to the restaurant of the relations to help washing dishes, at that time a dishwasher was unknown and she had piano lessons together with her two cousins.I did not know it at that time) After Christmas whenever my sister was not at home I practised piano playing. By the way, I got a children´s shop, freshly painted, also from the relations, but I thought, that is for little children, but I go to school already, I am nearly grown up. After Christmas the children´s shop vanished, probably my parents gave it away. I didn´t miss it!
