Princess Ann at the CHIO Aachen

Having spent a year and a half in London many years ago, it was a special highlight for me that the CHIO was recently held in my home town of Aachen.
The CHIO Aachen is an international equestrian tournament (Concours Hippique International Officiel) that has been held in Aachen since 1924.
This year, the international horse show was dominated by Great Britain. So I was totally delighted that even Princess Anne was there and gave the opening speech. Since I couldn't be there myself, I was able to take a few shots from the television to show to those who, like me, can always be amazed by "Merry Old England".
